Remembrance of Mr olorun Yomi Makun-a.y comedian

aycomedian Dear Daddy,
Just like yesterday i walked into the house from school to find out that you had said goodbye in your sleep. That singular and unexpected move of yours was what i considered selfish, as it also took mum who did not trust us enough to fill the vacuum or play your role in her life.
Today makes it 17 years that you are gone, but everything that you taught me as your first son has given me that sense of leadership and stability that made me become the man you have always wanted me to be. I wish you could come and see things for yourself. I am sure you will be so proud of your children whom you never spared the rod for.
Knowing how you placed value on your name and humanity makes us want to do better and be better. Your son Ayodeji Makun made it into the Guinness World Records. He is also married to one of the most beautiful women in the world.Though his wife Mabel wishes you were around for her to come and report some of his naughtiness to you sometimes. Its not that bad though, but i think he needs to create more time for his family aside his passion for work. All your daughters are happily married and doing well at home and abroad. Your favourite girl Bola still carries everyone along, she never fails to remind us of how you followed the ways of God and led your family to His invaluable path. Lanre is now a big time event manager in the country. He even took us to took us to Owerri of recent to marry an 'omo igbo'. Iba Ibidun, If you see our wives, i swear! You would wish to be us and come back to life. Yomi on the other hand 'have joined gang' in Lagos. The beards that you never allowed to escape your shaving stick, is the one he keeps alongside some other yellow things which i cannot tell you about. We have allowed him to enjoy his youth (like i did) before making the decision that will impact him forever. But tuhe most important thing is that he is highly focused and respected as one of the fashion designers in Nigeria.
Anyways, we would all be lying if we said there weren't times that we cry into our pillows wishing you and mum were here to just enjoy the fruits of your labour. We have come to realize that there's nothing we can do to chan

Lady claims she is a virgin and she is ready to take it in to the year 2017

Some guys do wonder if virgins still exist

A young girl claiming to be a virgin has been taken to the cleaners on social media after she flaunted a bit of her cleavage in suggestive photos.
The self-acclaimed virgin girl
A growing girl is proud of another achievement of staying without s*x all her life as she strolls into the new year, 2017.
She posted pictures of herself with her massive boobs protruding as well as her tongue in the fashion some corrupt teenagers will do to seek attention.
The pictures came with this message “Walking into 2017 a proud virgin. I know some people won’t beliv me lolz. #WCW”
This led to a round of debates about the truthfulness of her claim by social media users who entertained themselves with her gist. The issue of virginity is already losing its value in Nigeria as most suitors fail the challenge of being celibate during courtship as envisaged by a 27-year old University student who wrote to a relationship adviser, Joro Olumofin about her sorry plight as a virgin.

Bokoharam flag has just been handed over to president Mohammed buhari,(read details)

Our Nigerian soldiers have really try,
The Nigerian Army has handed over the flag of Boko Haram that was recovered from “camp zero” in Sambisa forest to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Major General Lucky Irabor, Theatre commander of Operation Lafiya Dole handed over the flag to Buhari at exactly 10:30 pm on Friday, December 30th, at this year’s regimental dinner organised by the presidential brigade of guards.
Speaking at Friday’s dinner, Irabor said troops arrested 1,240 suspected Boko Haram members during a mop-up operation inside Sambisa.
In his response, Buhari, who recounted how he was nearly killed even before he collected his first salary in the army stated that keeping Nigeria united was paramount.
“I believe you are here because you want to be here and you cannot complain. We will do our best to build the national institutions in the country,” he said.
“There are 250 ethnic groups, so keeping Nigeria one is a task that must be done. So even for a personal reason, you must make sure this country stays one and remain strong.”
On his part, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai assured Nigerians that they will continue their onslaught in the north-east.

Curruption still tolls arround after shutting down of sambisa-saraki

Senate President Bukola Saraki says after the recapture of the Sambisa Forest, other issues before the country are corruption, economic recession, unemployment and the Niger Delta crisis. The Senate president was yesterday addressing State House correspondents shortly after observing the juma’at prayer with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House mosque.
Saraki described the capture of Sambisa Forest as great progress, saying: “If you look at where we were a-year-and-half ago; the challenges we had in that area, for us to recapture the place is a great feat. It shows what we can do as a country when we’ve the commitment, purpose and the leadership required to do that. As we’ve done that in the northeast.”
The Senate President said he believed the other issues before us are the fight against corruption, the economy, providing jobs, peace in the Niger Delta.
Saraki said the attention of the National Assembly would be on the economy in 2017 because “that is really a major issue for us as a country. We want to see some of the economic bills put forward passed to see that there is greater improvement in the process of the budget process in 2017 and to see that the government implements the budget early.”
He said: “Also, one of our pet projects is made-in-Nigeria products. We want to see that government continues to support Nigerians in this area so that we can begin to see the cushioning of the difficult times Nigerians are going through. So, next year is very important to us.”
The Senate president also assured that the legislature would continue to support the executive to ensure that the right things are done.

Oluwo of iwo,oba abdurasheed about to be arrested by cp-osun court

A magistrate’s court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State has ordered the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Fimihan Adeoye, to arrest the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, and bring him to court on January 6, 2017.
The magistrate, Olusola Aluko, gave the fresh order on Friday when the case involving the monarch came up for hearing again.
He said he was surprised that the police commissioner had not arrested Oluwo since he first issued the bench warrant of arrest against the first class monarch. Aluko expressed dismay that the police commissioner had not effected the bench warrant of arrest he had issued against the monarch, which he said he had signed and handed over to an officer of the state police command.
He said, “I am baffled that the commissioner of police has not done his duty. I am also surprised by his claim that he was unaware of the bench warrant. That must be a joke of the century. I, therefore, order him to immediately arrest the respondent.
“I am not joking with my order. He (Akanbi) should be arrested and brought to this court on Friday, January 6, 2017. The sanctity of the judiciary must be protected.”
Aluko stated that the case instituted by the Oluwo Oke of Iwo Oke, Oba Kadiri Adeoye, against Akanbi before his court was not a chieftaincy case but a criminal one.
He said, “I will like to say that the matter before me was filed based on sections 35, 37 and 38 of the criminal procedures of Osun State.
“In a criminal case such as this, a defendant must appear in court. This court is not trying a chieftaincy matter. It is the law that once an order is made, to prevent anarchy, such an order must be obeyed.
“It is to be noted that an order was first made by my brother, Magistrate Omisade of Iwo jurisdiction before the case was transferred here by fiat and I had asked him (Akanbi) three times to appear before this court.”
It will be recalled that the magistrate had on December 2 threatened to issue a bench warrant against the Oluwo if he failed to appear before him on December 20, but the monarch failed to appear before the court.
The magistrate then issued a bench warrant against the monarch on December 20 but the monarch allegedly said he would not appear before the magistrate.
Aluko had also issued a fresh bench warrant against the monarch on Wednesday for contempt of court but the monarch still did not appear on Friday.
The Oluwo had earlier told our correspondent in an interview that he would not appear before the magistrate, but subsequent efforts to get his reaction to the fresh order of arrest were not successful as calls put across to his telephone did not connect.
The police commissioner, when contacted on the telephone by our correspondent after the fresh court order, said he was not aware of it.

Dangerous battle between the Nigerian soldiers and bokoharam as Manny have died

At least 15 Boko Haram fighters were killed in Borno on Friday as Nigerian troops of Operation Lafiya Dole and Boko Haram terrorists engaged in prolonged fierce battle in Borno State.
Military insiders told PREMIUM TIMES the battle ensued at 6 a.m this morning and did not end until after 9 a.m.
Our sources said the battle began when fighters of the terror group launched a surprise attack on troops location in Rann, in northern Borno, shooting sporadically.
Troops from 3 Battalion and 112 Task Force Battalion are stationed in the area, our sources said.
The soldiers responded promptly, killing an unknown number of the terrorists, and wounding several others.
The battle raged for over two hours, and when the dust settled, several terrorists were found dead.
One of our sources said more than 15 of the Boko Haram fighters were killed in action.
Another said the figure was much higher, saying many other terrorists escaped from the scene with gunshot wounds.
Both sources however said four Nigerian soldiers were wounded in action, adding that authorities had since contacted the nearby 22 Brigade to send air ambulance to evacuate a critically injured soldier.
Our sources gave arms and ammunition recovered from the terrorists to include two AK47 rifles, four FN rifles, one M21 rifle, 110 X 7.62MM NATO ammunition, 20 X 7.62MM special,, 40 X M21 rounds, 4 X FN extra magazine and two locally made explosives.
Friday’s battle is the first since the military overpowered and chased the Boko Haram sect from the dreaded Sambisa Forest, a fortress from where the group launched attacks on Nigeria for years.
It also came a day after the leader of the terror sect, Abubakar Shekau, appeared in a new video, claiming his group had not been defeated.
The Army immediately shot back, saying the video by Mr. Shekau was a piece of propaganda that should be disregarded.

Two died as Igbo and fulani clash over 100 naira in enugu

Ihuoma Chiedozie, Enugu
Two persons lost their lives in a bloody clash between Igbos and Fulanis at the popular Gariki market, in Enugu.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night.
Our correspondent learnt, during a visit to the market on Thursday, that the deceased persons had been identified as Ali, a Fulani and Ifeacho Ifeanyi, an Igbo.
It was equally gathered that the clash was triggered by a disagreement over the sum of N100.
Eye witnesses disclosed that trouble started when, late on Wednesday evening, the said Ali, whose surname could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, came to slaughter a cow at an abattoir located in the Gariki market.
They said Ali, who ordinarily would have gone to slaughter his cow in the New Artisan market abattoir, opted for Gariki market abattoir because the New Artsisan market had been closed by the Enugu State Government following the killing of a policeman by a mob of Keke NAPEP riders.
However, Ali, paid N400 instead of the required N500, which infuriated Ifeanyi, leading to a dispute.
The dispute between the two men over the said N100 soon turned violent, and in the ensuing fight, Ali allegedly brought out a dagger and stabbed Ifeanyi several times in the stomach, exposing his intestines.
Ifeanyi slumped and died on the spot.
But Ali met his own end immediately, as some Igbo traders, who were enraged at the development, apprehended him as he tried to escape and beat him to death.
The irate Igbo traders went further by burning a mosque that is located inside the Gariki market, where the large population of Northerners in the market worshipped.
Our correspondent gathered that the crisis would have further degenerated to the burning of shops and loss of more lives, had it not been for a team of anti-riot policemen who arrived at the market to stabilise the situation.
Spokesman for the Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the development, said the police had restored normalcy in the market and environs.
He said the police was on the ground to prevent further breakdown of the law and order.
Amaraizu added that the police was investigating the incident.

See the way this Uganda army was beating and striped unclad

Here are trending photos showing how a military officer was allegedly tortured gruesomely in an army barracks in Uganda. The UPDF soldier who is said to have lost his manhood after the torture -was arrested after a tin containing ammunition for a 12.7mm anti-aircraft gun had vanished last year. The corporal had been deployed as a gunner in 2014 under UPDF's Battle Group XIV.
Officially, he was indicted for failing to protect war materials contrary to section 122(1) (2) (g) of the UPDF Act, 2005 an offence which includes misuse or sale of war material and for which the only penalty under the said law is death.
He was detained at Makindye Military Police Barracks, outside Kampala, where he suffered injuries allegedly resulting from gross physical abuse.
In an affidavit in support of an application at the High Court challenging his trial dated August 8, 2016, the soldier recounts how he was "undressed, insulted and tied by the hands on a steel bar, a bag of about 15 kilogrammes tied and hanged on the joystick and testicles". He was then moved to a metallic container, handcuffed for 24 hours and left for days without medical care.
Medical records dated October 6 and November 2, 2015 from Nakasero Hospital and Bombo Military Hospital, respectively, indicate his right testicle had become "smaller than the contralateral (opposite) testis [and] was non-tender" and he has "a chronic right testicular infarction and internal echogenicity with no flow."
In other words, the weight tied to the genitals of the 33-year-old father of three blocked blood flow to the right testicle, causing tissue decay. Cpl Ssebyara now cannot achieve an Attention.
He passes urine and stool with excruciating difficulty, according to his defence attorneys Ivan Mugabi and Isaac Ssemakade.
The Defence and Military Spokesman, Lt Col Paddy Ankunda, when contacted last week said the army would investigate the alleged torture of the soldier, but "there must be a reason why the court is holding him".

LMAO!!!!ponzi scheme as pastor Mathew Ashimolow's KICC loses $4.8million

A 12,000-member megachurch in Britain lost the equivalence of $4.8 million in charitable funds after trustees carelessly invested money in what later turned out to be a ponzi scheme headed by a former Premier League soccer player.

published last week by the Charity Commission for England and Wales, the Kent-based Kingsway International Christian Centre came away with a net loss of about $4.8 million (£3.9 million) after its trustees forked over a total of $6.1 million (£5 million) in four installments between June 2009 and June 2010 to a former trustee who guaranteed that the investments would earn a sizable return totaling about 55 percent in a year.
Although the commission's report does not name names, The Telegraph reports that the person who the church trustees handed the money to was Richard Rufus, a former defender for the Charlton Athletic Football Club who was also a former minister and trustee at the church.
Last year, a judge found that Rufus had conned about 100 investors out of a total of $10,731,159 (£8,682,343) in the £16-million investing scheme with Kingsway International Christian Centre being the single largest investor.
According to the commission's report, the church's trustees handed over an initial investment and entered into an agreement in which they were guaranteed that investment would earn a profit of about 5 percent per month, with the exception of August and December when they were guaranteed profits of about 2.5 percent.
"The inquiry established that in practice, however, the investments resulted in a net loss of £3.9 million to the charity," the report explains.
The report states that the church's trustees who handed over the funds were guilty of "mismanagement." The commission found that the church's trustees did not "exercise sufficient care when making the decisions to invest £5 million of the charity's funds through the ex-trustee's investment scheme."
"They did not follow all the principles expected of trustees to ensure they comply with their trustee duties under charity law when making those decisions," the report concludes.
The Charity Commission was first alerted to the church's investment when it found that the church made £3 million of investments with a "qualified independent trader" who was "in a position to provide the services of an investment manager by investing in financial markets."
After the commission contacted the Financial Services Authority to verify the trustee's status as a trader, it found that the trustee in question was not, nor had he ever been, licensed to "carry on regulated activities in a personal capacity."
The commission also found that the investments were paid to the trustee's personal bank accounts. Additionally, the commission found that the investments "appeared to be speculative and high risk in nature."
As a result of the commission's inquiry, an interim manager was appointed to review the trustees' decisions to invest the £5 million and to decide whether any of the trustees should be held personally liable.
The interim manager found that the trustees did not do enough to investigate whether or not the rate of return they were promised was realistic and put too much trust in the trustee's good standing with the church and community.
"The interim manager found that conflicts of interest were not managed properly by the decision-making trustees when making the decision to invest. There was too much reliance on the expertise of the ex‑trustee when he was personally interested and conflicted," the report states. "The interim manager found that insufficient consideration was given by the decision-making trustees as to whether the guaranteed rate of return was unrealistically high, or to the potential for fraud."
After the church entered into an Individual voluntary agreement with the ex-trustee in hopes he could pay back the money lost, the ex-trustee filed for bankruptcy and was declared bankrupt in 2013.
The interim manager also encouraged the church's current trustees to bring a legal claim against the trustees who decided to invest the money.

World's largest trailer

World’s Largest Giant Trailer
Only Mechanical Engineers dare to make and lift heavy weights using World’s Largest Giant Trailer. Untiring efforts of engineers at Mammoet have made it possible to convert this dream of a giant trailer into reality.
Mammoet is world’s largest service provider with specialization in lifting and transporting heavy weights. Basically the idea is to develop a heavy transport solution called Trailer Power Assist (TPA). These trailers will be powered hydraulically thus lifting large and heavy equipment will not require combining several trucks.
Traditionally, you might have seen that (multiple trailers) four or five trailers are used to transport heavy cargo. Two or four trucks are used at front to steer the movement and two or four trucks are used at back for support to the cargo/ heavy equipment. The trucks are mechanical connected with limited maneuverability.
The new TPA-system has been initiated by Mammoet and developed in cooperation with SCHEUERLE, the leading manufacturer of heavy transport vehicles. TPA is based on the SCHEUERLE K25 trailer, which is fitted with a Power Pack Unit (PPU) that hydraulically powers 4 of the 6 axle lines. The PPU is mounted at one or either end of the trailer, depending on the configuration – or can be placed on the prime mover to replace the counterweight for traction. Each PPU is powered by a MTU V12 diesel engine, compliant with all emission requirements, that generates 1,000 horsepower and a traction power of over 40 tons. The TPA system is specified for all weather extremes.
One TPA is equivalent to two trucks. Using this technology, only one truck will be required at the front to pull and steer the equipment. This means that only one experienced driver/ operator will be incharge here thus it will reduce any damages caused by communication gaps between several drivers of other trucks combined to move same cargo.
TPA does not only provide more lifting capacity, but it also enhances speed of the vehicle. SCHEUERLE (Truck Manufacturing Company) is currently building two prototypes of TPA in a joint venture (JV) with Mammoet. In 2016, these two prototypes will be field-tested by Mammoet.
